(Brian shooting in a very rainy Kauai)

(Brian and Chris shooting in St. Barts)
did you know that all of our international destination wedding photography packages come with a complimentary post-event portrait session? we get the most killer images when the bride has stopped worrying about getting the dress dirty! Like these images, shot by Kim, from Danielle and David’s wedding in Anguilla: (of course, sand between the toes and a rum drink in the hand is quite helpful for the groom as well. )
we’ve got a lot of exciting destination weddings going on this year so there will be lots more to share. in fact, we’re off to the bahamas this thursday to shoot what’s going to be a really fun three day event on harbor island this weekend!
in the mean time, check out more from our destination weddings here.

just another perfect day...
]]>our many thanks to the always wonderful Ellen Kostman of Sidekick Events who did the planning and to Dejuan Stroud for the flowers.
check out this stunning hand calligraphied invite courtesy of Sloane Madureira Design.
Makeup artist: Lori Hamlin
Hair stylist: Courtney Benedetti
the bride’s dress was Elizabeth Fillmore from the incomparable Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier. we love mark and his staff!
and some sweet blues from manolo blahnik.
and the groom’s custom suit was by Mr. Ned with groom and groomsmen’s coordinating ties by hermes.
it was a great day or everybody. ok, almost everybody.
more to come …. in part 2
]]>If she gets a set of cupcakes delivered to her as she’s getting ready that say, “I CAN’T WAIT TO MARRY YOU!” pay attention to the order in which you eat them!!
Especially if you choose to eat some before the photographer arrives!
Our good friend Laura Nadeau of Lo & Co. did a wonderful job on Kim’s makeup. What a surprise to just bump into your friends on the job.
]]>So we plunked him down in the middle of the Great Hall at Grand Central and brought Gena out to meet him.
So that we could catch his reaction…
Such a great moment.
For this classic shot, I went again with my custom Digital Cyanotype toning that I developed.
If you remember a few weeks back I mentioned the value of lighting at the reception. Look at what Gena and John did at the Penthouse Ballroom at the St. Regis. Not only did they pinspot the centerpieces, but they uplit the walls AND had 4 MAC Lumieres (moving head lights) on pedestals to crosslight the chandeliers and then break into moving disco gobos during the dance sets. And then during the first dance, they lit up the couple’s new custom monogram that was inlaid in the dance floor.
Here’s a centerpiece NOT being a black hole.
Even the Korean Paebak was a rockin good time.
]]>so when we went there again for amy & scott’s wedding day – it was special for us too.
every bride approaches her wedding differently. amy was intent on having a blast. and that she did.
first off, I knew she was planning for fun when I saw her shoes…
how fun are they?
amy beamed the entire day.
on the way to the altar…
during the vows… (and scott beams back)
ok, you can’t see her in this shot of the room and the cake but she’s still beaming.
the first dance…
and in the st. regis tradition – the cake cutting (with sabre) – (while john, the captain, gives the old, “be careful, it’s sharp!” warning….
so she beams while yielding a sword…
now, as an aside, people are always asking how we do our “still live display”, since showing images during a reception isn’t something that most people have seen done in an elegant environment. so we thought we’d show you… (as she beams looking at the images we took of them that day)
and the beaming continued all night long…
weddings are all about smiles after all, aren’t they?
