Shabu and Michael met while she was at Barnard and he was at Columbia and in fact, Michael proposed on campus.
It seemed only fitting that we do their engagement portraits at their alma mater…

Apparently the engagement session that I had with MaryLouise and Dan earlier in the week had used up all the rain or had earned us some sun credits because MaryLouise got one of those glorious wedding days that every bride hopes for. So it was off to Central Parks’ Conservatory Gardens …
Coincidentally, MaryLouise wore an absolutely stunning dress by a friend of ours, the fantastic designer, Lela Rose.

And Dan looked great in Giorgio Armani, but … I don’t know Giorgio.

But once again, my bowtie tying abilities get pressed into service…

Dan turns to see his beautiful bride for the first time….

What’s so funny?

All the people ooooohing and aaaaahhing at the handsome couple.
“Oh, will you look at them, Mildred! Beautiful, just beautiful! Have you ever…”

And so we moved on…

But no matter where we went…

People always looking…

But you find ways to cut them out…

Their ceremony was held at Columbia University.

While the reception was held at the “olde world grand” University Club.
