Wanted to share a wonderful wedding that my associates Matt and Chris shot out on the North Fork at Bedell Cellars.

I love this shot of Danielle’s Mom. Now THATs a moment!

Bedell Cellars is a beautiful place to have a wedding. The vineyards offer such a great place for cool portraits.

Danielle and Christian are such a fun couple.

And Bedell has this wonderful back porch – perfect for that summer wedding out on the island.

And of course, who better to do your Hamptons/North Fork flowers than the amazing Claire Bean. She’s one of our all time faves. Her work is elegantly simple yet always stunning. She knows floral colors like no one.

Thanks to Matt and Chris for doing such an outstanding job!
There’s so much to share from Lynda & Michael’s wedding I almost don’t know where to start…
The wonderful invitations: which are so cool not only because they’re simply beautiful, but also because nowhere do they mention the words wedding or marriage – it’s all about love.

Lynda worked as an Art Director for many years for such prestigious publications as Vogue. And you can tell she brought her AD’s style eye to everything.

Of course, none of that happens without and awesome event planner/florist behind it all. The fabulous Claire Bean did all the work for Lynda’s wedding. Claire is one of the best in the Hamptons. She’s does flowers like nobody else. She shared with us this time how she flys overseas to develop relationships directly with the growers and has her flowers shipped directly to her – so they end up a couple of day’s fresher than if she went through the NY flower markets. The difference shows.

Wolffer Vineyards has this wonderful little gazebo in the middle of their vineyard. How cute is that?

Michael’s son played a song on the guitar and everyone joined in the fun.

But Claire’s flowers were the show stealers.

I mean, if you’re going to have a meal in a vineyard, this is really the way to do it.

Stunning, right?

And of course, the self-portrait studio was a HUGE hit!

We even jumped in for a shot:

That’s Kacy and Matt (our associates), Claire Bean (florist extraordinaire), Celeste (our producer and my better half) and some guy laughing like an idiot.
Is it too late in the season to show pictures wearing linen?

it’s quite an honor when wedding photographers ask you to photograph their daughter’s wedding. with that honor however, comes a lot of extra pressure.

but in reality, Tara and Nick were so delightful to work with they made it a breeze.

the truth is – the entire bridal party was a great time – I even got the flower girl and the ring bearer to kiss! check out her reaction!

the flower girl ended up stag at the end of the night anyway – but look how cute she was at her own little pint sized table!

…that we have been insanely busy.
I was doing a shoot the other day with one of my clients who said to me, “It must be nice to get a chance to take a breather and relax a bit during the summer.”
“A breather! I wish!” , I responded.
“Yeah, I keep checking the blog and there’s been nothing new lately so I figured things must really slow down in the summer for you.”
Well, I’m delighted to report that I have not had a single moment to relax this summer. In fact, we’ve been so busy shooting almost every single day that our dear blog has been a bit neglected. My apologies to the avid blog readers who tell me that they check all the time to see the latest and greatest and I’ve left them reading the same entries over and over. There have been some awesome events that we’ve done over the last summer – ranging from some of the sweetest little intimate city weddings to private extravaganzas in the Hamptons where “the band” was Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.
So in an effort to play catch-up – I’m going to put together a few quick blog entries/recaps of some of work we’ve done this summer.
A fantastic rehearsal dinner in Southampton at the Parrish Art Museum….

and before the wedding the next day…

the barefoot reception on the beach

Here’s Lauren and Emil taking a moment to grab a few garden pictures…

At the same location I shot the ceremony of a couple who had come over from the UK so that they could get married in Central Park.

Here’s a couple from Eileen and Anthony’s wedding day.

And Farrah and George down on the coast.

and in the playground.

And then there was Lindsay and Eric.
Somedays I feel I’m just completely irrelevant to the whole wedding photographic process.

Much more to come…
