alexandra’s album

Just got this very sweet email from our clients Kim & Aaron. We shot Kim & Aaron’s wedding back in 2007, and we were delighted when they came by the studio for portraits of their adorable little girl Alexandra.

“Brian and Katie-

I just went through the album and absolutely LOVE it. It is so special and really captures Alexandra’s personality even at 3 months old. She is just about six months old now and it is amazing to see how much she has grown and changed already. I can’t imagine what it will be like to look back on this album years from now!

It is no surprise that the album turned out as fantastic as it did since you guys always create something amazing with the images you get. And it was no small feat to get these shots with a sleepy and fussy 3 month old. We cannot wait to share this album with our family and friends.

Thanks again for all of your work!
Kim and Aaron”

the brave new world of club / house / bat mitzvahs

until recently, wedding photography enjoyed a pretty miserable reputation (well deserved, i might add).  but the photographic style has changed, the people have changed and it’s enjoying a renaissance.   there’s still a pretty sizable stigma surrounding mitzvah photography however.  this too shall pass.

in reality – these are not the mitzvahs of old.  and these are definitely not the kids that I went to mitzvahs with.  nor did we never have them in velvet rope dance clubs in the city.

and i have to say, stigma be damned –   bat mitzvahs are really a lot of fun to shoot.

kelli + dave engagement portraits

Love is, is too weak a word for what I feel – I lurve you, you know, I loave you, I luff you, two F’s, yes I have to invent, of course I – I do, don’t you think I do?     -Woody Allen

taylor + brett – engagement portraits

one of the greatest parts of living and working as a photographer in new york city is that, waiting around every corner, there’s something new to shoot. there’s always something interesting going on – be it the romantic beauty of central park or the juxtaposition of a gritty city street, every portrait session we shoot is a unique slice of life.

and sometimes the reaction is priceless…
