madeleine + dean – pleasantdale chateau wedding

Want to know what’s really strange for a wedding photographer?  Shooting a wedding in the place where you got married.

Ten years ago this month, Celeste and I got married at The Pleasantdale Chateau.  It’s an old estate about 3 minutes from where I grew up and my friends and I used to sneak around their extensive property when we were kids.  So when it became a event space it was a natural choice for us.

Madeleine and Dean are such a handsome couple – it was a perfect setting for them as well.

Although it was raining most of the day, you can see it didn’t dampen Madeleine’s radiance.

Fortunately, the Chateau has some awesome places to shoot indoors.

Connecting the poolhouse to the main house is the garden room.

I mean, if you’re stuck pretty much inside, you couldn’t ask for a better location.
