i’ve been creating them for myself for years – refining the technique of toning the image a great deal over time – but i don’t think i’ve ever shown them before.
what do you think?
thought i’d share a few images from a few weeks ago – the beauty of industrial New Jersey.
whenever i would ride by this area as a kid on my way to manhattan, i’d think about the bodies that were likely dumped there.

Event photography is a word-of-mouth business so it’s especially important to keep your clients happy. But generally this happiness is pretty hard to measure. The most objective measure of their satisfaction, is not what they are willing to tell us, but what they tell an independent 3rd party. As wedding photographers ourselves, the photography part was the absolute hardest part of wedding planning. We thought we knew how important the wedding photos are, but they proved to be even more valuable. Brian and his whole team were just what we were looking for and he proved to be excellent. We will admit that we are not easy to please and because of this, we spent a lot of time interviewing wedding photographers trying to find the one who would not disappoint us. Almost a full year of planning went into the wedding, and we wanted the day to be captured in every detail. We are delighted to say that Brian Dorsey Studios not only met our expectations but exceeded them. We knew from reviewing Brian’s portfolio of previous work that he was talented. It was very important to us that we hire a photographer that could capture the many priceless aspects of a wedding. Of all the vendors we had to choose for our wedding, selecting Brian Dorsey Studios for our photography was the decision we are most proud of. They captured every moment so beautifully that it truly brings us back to the big day each time we look at our photos. Although I think their forte is the ability to photograph from a “fly on the wall” type perspective, they also do great portraits. Best of all, they make the picture posing sessions fun, which I’ve heard can often be torture. They also work like stealth-bombers throughout the ceremony & reception. You hardly know they are there, but when the photos magically appear on their video display – you’re ooooing and awwing with the rest of the guests. If I had to do it all again, I would pick Brian over and over again. He’s now my designated photographer for any upcoming events I’ll ever need.

We were able to be ourselves. I had just received my proof album and the pictures are amazing. I cannot say anything negative about them. I would highly recommend Brian Dorsey Studios. The photos of our wedding were fantastic and they were exactly in the style we wanted them to be — very natural.
