kamm + omar – the wedding day

So what do you do when you want to get an eyeful of NYC on your wedding day?

First, you get a suite at the Mandarin Oriental so you have a sweet view of Columbus Circle and Central Park South.

Then you bring along your beautiful daughter Kienna (and her rabbit.)

Then you take a subway downtown….

Arrange for a private double decker bus tour for everyone in the wedding.

And then after the ceremony in the Central Park Conservatory Gardens, you arrange for a checker cab to take you to the Rainbow Room for dinner and dancing.

A perfect ending to a perfect day.

kamm + omar – the portrait session

Sometimes great clients come as a serendipity. About a week before his wedding, Omar gave me a call and asked me to photograph it. His fiancee was bringing their daughter over from the UK and they were getting married and settling down here in NYC.

As soon as she arrived, we went out for some engagement portraits.

Omar is a photographer himself and loved the way we had incorporated the city in the shots he’d seen online and he wanted a very New York feel for his photographs.

But he had even bigger plans for photographs on the wedding day…

To Be Continued.

alana + andrew – the wedding day

Alana and Andrew were lucky enough to have one of those picture perfect Manhattan days – when the skies are crisp and the air moving – just perfect for wandering a bit in Central Park.

Not only are they great looking – but they are really fun to work with as well.

And their ringbearer was a stud too.

rumi + stephen – the wedding day

You may remember Rumi and Stephen from our engagement session awhile back up at The Cloisters. Well Rumi’s mother consulted the calendar and Rumi’s Happy Day in Japan was 5/17/08 so that’s when they choose to have their wedding.

On her wedding day, Rumi decided to get ready at the Hotel Gansevoort in the Meatpacking District.

Stephen and The Boys took the scenic route…

Below her father waits for the last guests to arrive before bringing Rumi into the church.

She and Stephen share a moment while the Abercrombie and Fitch guy lies stunned watching them.

How cute are the flowergirls in those dresses?

For a part of the reception, Rumi changed into a beautiful Kimono that required a dresser about 20 minutes to get her into. But it was stunning.

As was the view from the Manhattan Penthouse where the reception was held.

jen + michael – the wedding day

If you’re looking for a mountain vistas for your wedding, you can’t do much better near the city than Jen and Michael did at The Garrison.

At the end of the night, Jen joined the band and sang a song for the guests and SHE ROCKED! Wow.
It’s not often that I get stunned by someone singing at an event, but Jen left me slack jawed.

Celeste and I are going to plan a “date night” to see her the next time she plays in the village.

Congrats to you both!

a “thank you”

We get so many nice cards, letters and emails from our clients that I thought we should start to share some of them with you.

Here’s one from today…

Kim,

The albums and moving pictures are amazing. My mother and I opened them together on Sunday we just started crying. They are so beautiful and even better than I expected. You and Brian have been so wonderful to work with I appreciate everything that you have done. I can’t wait to work with you guys again.

Allison

Here was Allison on the way back up the aisle that day …

Thanks Allison – We had a wonderful time working with you as well.

carrie + brian – the wedding day

Just wanted to quickly get a few images up from Carrie and Brian’s wedding.

Didn’t she look great?

These guys rocked!

But alas, I did find a backstabber among the guests…
