Great weather means everyone wants to get outside for their portrait sessions. I wanted to share a few images from some of the recent sessions we had.
Jen and Mike have an amazingly friendly dog, Baxter, who they wanted to feature in their session.
For the most part, Baxter is a total ham.
Although occasionally he gets embarrassed by all of the attention he gets.

Next we have Carla and Stephen.
Carla and Stephen met at McSorley’s so that’s where we went for their engagement portraits. Now most New Yorkers will know that McSorley’s isn’t really the kind of place you go looking for romance. It’s more the kind of place you go for homemade beer (light or dark) with good friends. You can only go with very good friends because the primary food there is a plate of cheese, onions and Nabisco saltines (still in the white wrapper). After a plate of raw onions, the only people that will still talk to you will be your very best friends.
And if raw onions alone don’t stifle the opportunities to find love, the fact that McSorley’s has not been dusted since it was founded in the 1800′s and therefore has it’s own ecosystem hanging from the lamps will.
But against these odds Stephen and Carla met and ultimately fell in love. Such a cute and fun pair…

Sarah and Tim had come into town from Boston just for their engagement session and they weren’t about to let a little rain deter them from having a good time. So we went on a hunt for dry spots in SoHo…
and we always manage to find something that’ll work.
Here’s our secret… the glass overhang… like magic – no rain.
Finally, the rain backed off a bit and we got to move out from under the overhang…
I love it when people just don’t let the weather ruin their day. In the end, these people always manage to make their own sunshine.
