I wanted to share an example of the post-production magic and decision making that goes into creating our final images.
First, you have to start with an awesome shot. Below is an image that Kim took moments before our bride Sarah went down the aisle. It is a wonderful example of the readiness and split second timing that is required to capture real moments and tell a successful story.
Look …

there’s just so much to show from susan and eric’s beautiful wedding that I think I’m going to break it up into two parts.
OK, I’ll admit it. i’m such a guy at times. i did know alot of thought (and $$) go into a bride’s shoes so I usually grabbed a detail shot of the them. but awhile back I made a comment to my wife about how there seems to be a trend to having the bride …

ah yes, so back to Cipriani 42nd Street and the work of Michelle Rago.
so, you may recall in some of my earlier posts how I was pointing out that lighting really can add drama to an event space and can also help to make it seem like the decor is changing throughout the evening???
well…
what a fantastic way of using the height of the centerpieces to complement the …

Wanted to get a couple images up from Lisa and Johns’ wonderful wedding out the bluffs of Montauk point. These shots were from their reception at Harvest on the Pond.
I love being near the water. Not only is it relaxing, it’s always so picturesque.
Isn’t the dock just an awesome place?
One of those perfect locations…

i have the best clients.
i really do.
take susan and damian for instance. they were so fun to work with – it’s like photographing friends on the happiest day of their lives. and they really thought about their photographs when planning their day.
susan decided to get ready at Ian Schrager’s amazing Gramercy Hotel.. Julian Schnabel designed this bohemian-inspired hotel and filled …

We were really fortunate to do two events within two weeks of each other at two different Cipriani locations. If you’re looking for a “Grand Old New York” wedding but don’t want to go the hotel route – Cipriani has some awesome locations to offer.
Melana and Evan’s wedding was at Cipriani Wall Street. We’ve been there on a number of occasions but I really liked the way that the …

You never know what kind of situation you’re going to walk into when you enter a bridal suite on the wedding day. There’s always this mix of tension and joy. I capture both but facilitate the latter.
One of Stacy’s bridesmaids, calling herself the Sash Nazi, made sure that there weren’t ANY wrinkles in any of the bridesmaids’ sashes. Here she shows me how seriously she took …

There’s so much to share from Lynda & Michael’s wedding I almost don’t know where to start…
The wonderful invitations: which are so cool not only because they’re simply beautiful, but also because nowhere do they mention the words wedding or marriage – it’s all about love.
Lynda worked as an Art Director for many years for such prestigious publications as Vogue. And …

carla and stephen are such a fun couple. You might remember their engagement session that we did at McSorley’s Bar in Manhattan which is where they originally met. Recently they were married at The Foundry in Brooklyn. But I wanted to share some images from a new location that I’d never been to before – Gantry State Park. As you can tell from the pictures, it’s in Brooklyn and …
